How does to work?

What is your return policy?

If you are not completely satisfied with your firewood, please contact us immediately so we can deliver a replacement at no charge.

Are there any shipping costs?

No, delivery is included in our prices.  However, if you wanted to swing by the woodyard and pick up your firewood, we will be able to offer you a better price.

Is there a minimum order amount?

No, there is no minimum order amount.  We load up the truck once a week to make deliveries.

What size is the firewood cut?

All firewood logs are cut at 16" long and about 3-4" wide.

We split everything relatively small so anyone can easily pick up a piece with one hand and because this size yields the best looking fire.

What species of wood are in your bundles?

Our firewood is all locally sourced.  We only use hardwoods because that what burns best, both indoor and outdoor.  Each bundle is unique and contain a mix of Oak, Maple, Ash, Elm, Cherry, Locust, etc.

Is your firewood kiln dried?

No, we split and stack our wood and then let mother nature dry our firewood outdoors for a minimum of 1 year.

We use a moisture meter to make sure our wood is at less than 20% before selling.

What are your fire starters made from?

The fire starters that we include in each bundle are made with a combination of wood chips and wax.

Once lit, they usually last about 10 minutes.

How many pieces of wood are in your loose stacks?

Loose stacks contain around 35-40 pieces of wood.

For comparison, that is just over 5 bundles and doesn't come with any fire starters.

When you deliver wood, where you typically leave it?

Our preference is to leave your firewood by your front door or porch, unless other arrangements have been made.

We typically take a picture and send it to you for confirmation.

Can you use these logs to cook with?

Absolutely!  This is how we got started processing firewood ourselves.

We use our own firewood in our pizza oven and maple syrup evaporator.

When ordering, am I able to specify what species of wood I want to purchase?

Our best answer to this question is maybe

Right now, bundles are always mixed hardwoods and we working toward having our bulk wood sorted by species or even custom blends.
